Award of Construction Recommended to BoardOn Thursday, August 12th, Central Community School System administration presented its recommendation to the School Board for the award of the Building Construction Package. Seven bids were received on July 15 at 3:30pm. The bids were very close in range and the School System is very pleased with both the number and quality of bids received. Thursday August 12th, 2010 The building construction package was awarded to : Arkel Constructors, Inc. / Roy Anderson Corp. A Joint Venture #2 D/B/A Arkel Anderson Joint Venture
Base bid was $31,000,788.00 Alternate #1 $990,000.00 Alternate #2 $990,000.00 Contract Sum $32,980,788.00
Constructing alternate #1 and alternate #2 will enable the School System to build both the New Intermediate School and the New Middle School to their designed capacity of 1,200 students per each campus for a total of 2,400 students for grades 3 thru 8. |
